What’s in the Two-State Solution Act?

• The Act reverses Trump policies that legitimized Israeli settlements and reinforces recognition of the Green Line. It makes clear that settlements on occupied Palestinian territory violate international law and Palestinian rights.

• The Act continues the full funding of US security assistance to Israel and ensures that security funds cannot be diverted to support harmful policies that undercut human rights and the pursuit of peace -- like the demolition of Palestinian homes, the expansion of settlements or further entrenching of the occupation.

• The Act supports and enables the reopening of the US consulate in East Jerusalem and the Palestinian mission in Washington, both of which were shuttered under Trump.

• The Act funds programs to promote human rights, rule of law and people-to-people peacebuilding programs to bring Israelis and Palestinians together and support reconciliation.
