Kenny comes to J Street after a successful legal career, including six years as a Public Defender in Newark, New Jersey, followed by years as a civil litigator. His volunteer service has included work as an EMT with a volunteer ambulance corps; working on political campaigns with BlueWaveNJ, a progressive grass roots organization; sitting on the board of MindLeaps, an NGO serving “street kids” in post conflict countries; and currently as president of Temple Ner Tamid, a 500 member Reform Synagogue in New Jersey. For fun, Kenny plays guitar and performs at open mics, is an avid tennis player and was a snowboard instructor for adults and teens with disabilities. He lives in New Jersey with his wife Jodi.
