Miriam joins J Street after graduating from Smith College, where she majored in Middle Eastern History, minored in Jewish Studies and served as captain of the crew team. During her time at Smith she conducted research on the Israeli Palestinian conflict; including the efficacy of Track Two Diplomacy and outcomes of grassroots organizing. In 2015 she spent the summer at Seeds of Peace, a summer camp in Maine that brings together teenagers from conflict zones with the goal of fostering a generation of peace builders. Previously, she interned with the Peace Alliance in Washington DC though the Religious Action Center for Reform Judaism’s Machon Kaplan program. She also spent a gap year in Israel and a semester in Jordan. A native Bostonian, Miriam now lives in Washington, DC.
