J Street Executive Director Jeremy Ben-Ami issued the following statement following President Obama and King Abdullah’s press conference yesterday:
J Street is encouraged and pleased by President Obama’s remarks yesterday following his meeting with King Abdullah of Jordan, affirming his Administration’s ongoing efforts to bring about a two-state solution to the Israeli-Palestinian conflict.
Only with strong American leadership to help forge the tough compromises necessary for a viable peace will Israel know real peace and security as a Jewish, democratic homeland.
The pro-Israel, pro-peace community, as well as the majority of American Jews, stand with the President in his push for peace.
