Darcy Burner, Democrat (WA-08)

American foreign policy has always meant something deeply personal for Darcy Burner and her family. She grew up with a father in the Air Force. Her husband has served in the Army, and now her brother is an Iraq War veteran.

Burner attended Harvard on scholarship and worked her way through school, graduating with a degree in computer science and economics. She pursued a career in technology, working as a programmer and manager, most recently at Microsoft.
