The district: This central Colorado district includes part of eastern Denver and has been represented by GOP Congressman Mike Coffman since 2009. In 2016, Secretary Clinton won the district with 50.2% of the vote. In Colorado’s June primary, Democrat Jason Crow secured the nomination to take on Rep. Coffman with 66% of the vote.
Our candidate: Jason Crow is a veteran and lawyer who served three tours of duty in Iraq and Afghanistan as a paratrooper and an Army Ranger. Since leaving the Army in 2006, Crow has become an outspoken advocate for his fellow veterans in Colorado. He served for 5 years on the Colorado Board of Veterans Affairs and led the charge to bring a new VA hospital to Aurora. He has also worked with the Truman National Security Project to galvanize support for the Iran nuclear agreement.
