The district: The district: Kansas’s 2nd congressional district (KS-02) covers most of the eastern part of the state and includes the state capital,Topeka. It has been represented by Republican Rep. Lynn Jenkins since 2008, and Trump carried the district by an 18 point margin in 2016.
Our candidate: Paul Davis grew up in Kansas and is the son of two teachers. He graduated from the University of Kansas and received his law degree from Washburn University. Davis served as an attorney before being elected to the Kansas House of Representatives. During his service, he was elected the Kansas House Minority Leader. He ran for governor of Kansas in 2014, and in that race, he carried KS-02 by a 6-point margin.
