Our candidate: Senator Sherrod Brown is a progressive Democrat running for his third term in the Senate. Brown is a strong supporter of active US leadership to resolving the Israeli-Palestinian conflict through a negotiated two-state solution and supports the JCPOA. Prior to his tenure in the Senate, Brown was an Ohio Congressman for over a decade, and he also served two terms as Ohio’s Secretary of State. Brown will face a tough reelection fight in a state that went for Donald Trump and incumbent Senator Rob Portman in 2016. Republican Congressman Jim Renacci will be challenging Sen. Brown in November.

The district: Ohio’s 7th congressional district (OH-7) covers the northeastern part of the state including Canton and has been represented by Republican Rep. Bob Gibbs since 2013.

Our candidate: Ken Harbaugh served in the Navy as a pilot, where he led reconnaissance missions in the Middle East and off of North Korea. Following his service, he became an advocate for veterans, and he most recently served as President of Team Rubicon Global, an aid organization that has trained more than 45,000 military veterans to deploy to natural disasters in the U.S. and around the world. He secured the Democratic nomination for this race in Ohio’s primary on May 8.

The district: Ohio’s 14th Congressional District (OH-14) is located in northeast Ohio and includes several East Side Cleveland suburbs as well as several rural counties. In the 2016 election, Republican incumbent Rep. David Joyce was reelected with 63%; in the presidential race, Trump carried the district with 54%. The district has a PVI of R+5 and the Cook Political Report rates the district as “likely Republican.”

Our Candidate: Betsy Rader is a civil rights attorney and the Democratic nominee for Ohio’s 14th Congressional District. She is part of the DCCC’s Red to Blue program and has been endorsed by JStreetPAC endorsee Sen. Sherrod Brown.
