Director of Employee Engagement

Ariel joins J Street after receiving an M.S. in conflict analysis and resolution from George Mason University. Ariel has previous experience with nonprofits, government agencies and startup organizations, leading her to find a home with J Street where she can continue her passion for social justice and peacebuilding. Previously she worked at the United States Department of Agriculture with the Office of the Ombudsperson and as an outreach coordinator for a conservation organization aimed at educating, engaging and empowering local communities dealing with complex ecological and human-based problems. Ariel also earned a TESL/TEFLcertification and worked in China teaching English as a second language. She relocated to Phnom Penh, Cambodia where she accepted an administrative position at the first American style liberal arts university in the country, the American University of Phnom Penh. In this capacity, she organized and oversaw the human resources department and assisted the vice president of academic affairs through the registrar’s office. Originally from Santa Fe, New Mexico she now resides in the DC metro area.
