Northeast Campus Organizer

Elie joins J Street after graduating from the University of Massachusetts with a BA in Sociology.  She served for several years in J Street U leadership, from co-founding the chapter at UMass in 2012 to representing the Northeast on the J Street U National Board from 2015-2016.  When she wasn’t organizing with J Street U in college, she spent most of her time in Hillel or studying social movements.  Elie originally came to J Street U from a place of love and concern for the Jewish community, and continues to bring her passion for Jewish text and tradition to this work.  She is also passionate about gender and sexuality issues, and has interned with Women’s Empowerment, a California nonprofit which provides training programs for homeless women. Elie is originally from the Baltimore area, and now lives in Boston, Massachusetts.
