Vice President of Public Affairs
Kevin returned to J Street in 2021 as the Vice President of Public Affairs, bringing over a decade of experience in US-focused advocacy and non-profit leadership. He previously served at J Street from 2010 to 2016 in multiple roles, including Deputy Director of Government Affairs and Deputy Chief of Staff.
Prior to returning to J Street, Kevin served as the US Director for the Alliance for Middle East Peace, a coalition of 150+ Israeli and Palestinian peacebuilding organizations. In this role, Kevin led US operations and advocacy efforts for the organization, spearheading the passage of the Nita M. Lowey Middle East Partnership for Peace Act, the single largest investment in peacebuilding in Israel and Palestine. Kevin also served as the Director of Public Policy and Government Affairs at InterAction, the largest alliance of nongovernmental international organizations in the U.S. In this role, Kevin led InterAction’s advocacy efforts to the U.S. Government, strengthening the voice and role of civil society in global development and international relief efforts. Kevin has also served as the Director of Government Affairs for the Basic Education Coalition, working with leading NGO organizations to enact legislation to revolutionize the U.S.’s approach to global education.
In his personal time, Kevin serves as a Senior Fellow for Israel and Palestine Policy at the Alliance for Peacebuilding. He has served on the board of directors for Kids4Peace and was an Arlington County Government Commissioner. A native of the great state of Ohio, Kevin received an MS in Global Medical Policy from George Mason University, a dual Bachelor’s degree from The Ohio State University in Political Science and International Studies, with a focus in Security and Intelligence and has spent time traveling in South Africa and Israel. Kevin lives with his wife, Jennifer and two daughters in Fairfax Station, Virginia.
