Senior Communal Associate

Lea comes to J Street having been an active Jewish professional for most of the past decade, working in various social justice and young adult engagement roles.  She served as Machon Kaplan Summer Coordinator at the Religious Action Center for Reform Judaism, where she was also part of the leadership team for the Urgency of Now transgender rights initiative. She worked as the Tzedek Social Justice Fellow at the Asheville, North Carolina JCC for 2016-2017, and as the Outreach and Expansion Coordinator for New College of Florida Hillel for 2014-2015.  She was part of Achvat Amim’s fifth cohort, having volunteered with Rabbis for Human Rights, the Jerusalem Intercultural Center, and Yad B’Yad Center for Jewish-Arab Education. Lea graduated from New College of Florida in 2014 with a degree in Anthropology/Religion.  She was born and raised in Central Florida, and now lives in Boston, Massachusetts.
