Associate Director of Events

Nela joins the Events Team at J Street after relocating to the Washington, D.C. area. Originally from Prague, the Czech Republic, Nela spent 9 years living in Israel, where she worked for the Czech Embassy in Tel Aviv.

Through her work, Nela has gained experience in planning and executing visits of political and business delegations to Israel, organizing high-profile events, and managing government-funded programs. Nela played a pivotal role within the Trade department, where she fostered collaboration between Czech and Israeli stakeholders and facilitated opportunities for trade, investment, and cooperation across various sectors.

Nela holds an M.A. in International Relations (Security and Diplomacy) from Tel Aviv University and a B.A. in International Trade from The University of Economics in Prague. In her free time, she enjoys traveling, doing yoga and playing backgammon with her husband, Ido.
