Assistant Director of Jewish Communal Engagement, New York

Originally from Jerusalem, Shaked brings a diverse background in the international music industry, having held notable positions at Columbia Records and Concord Music Publishing. He now focuses on mental health and making a broader social impact. After completing his service in the IDF as the leader of the Commander’s Course at the Navy Commander’s Academy, Shaked earned a BA in Psychology and Music from the Open University of Israel, an MA in Music Business from NYU, and is currently pursuing licensure in psychotherapy and psychoanalysis through New York’s National Institute for the Psychotherapies.

Now, as Assistant Director of Jewish Communal Engagement, Shaked is dedicated to building strong connections with the Jewish community and clergy in New York, while supporting J Street’s national work. The opportunity to contribute to J Street’s mission of advocating for peace and security in the Middle East through diplomacy and dialogue is particularly meaningful to Shaked, combining a personal passion for helping people with a commitment to social change.
