Join J Street Colorado for our annual celebration and a morning conversation with Amy Spitalnick, CEO of Jewish Council for Public Affairs and former Executive Director of Integrity First for America (IFA). Amy led IFA to win its historic lawsuit against the neo-Nazis, white supremacists, and hate groups behind the Unite the Right violence in Charlottesville. She will be in conversation with Nancy Reichman, J Street’s Political Committee Chair on Wednesday, November 29 at 8:00am MST.

While we are still processing and responding to the heartbreaking events of the past few weeks, J Street remains steadfast in its belief in the possibility of a just resolution to the ongoing conflict in the long term. In times of crisis like this, it is our community’s role to convene, educate, offer support, and provide a space to reflect and process. This event is a great opportunity to recognize J Street’s work this past year and to discuss the path forward for pro-Israel, pro-peace, and pro-democracy advocates.

All proceeds benefit the J Street Education Fund, a 501(c)(3) organization.

Amy Spitalnick
CEO of the Jewish Council for Public Affairs

Amy Spitalnick is the CEO of the Jewish Council for Public Affairs, the national convener of Jewish coalitions working across communities to build a just and inclusive American democracy. She previously served as Executive Director of Integrity First for America, which won its groundbreaking lawsuit against the neo-Nazis, white supremacists, and hate groups responsible for the Charlottesville violence.

Amy also serves as a Senior Advisor on Extremism to Human Rights First, and on the Advisory Board of the Polarization and Extremism Research and Innovation Lab (PERIL) at American University.  She has extensive experience in government, politics, and advocacy, including as Communications Director and Senior Policy Advisor to the New York Attorney General and spokesperson and advisor to the New York City Mayor. She has also worked for a number of federal, state, and local campaigns and advocacy organizations – including as J Street’s first press secretary.

Amy has been named a Women in Power Fellow at the 92nd Street Y, a Truman National Security Project Fellow, a City & State 40 Under 40 Rising Star, and a NY Jewish Week 36 Under 36 Changemaker. She graduated from Tufts University.

Nancy Reichman
J Street Political Committee Chair

Nancy Reichman is Professor Emerita in the Department of Sociology and Criminology at the University of Denver. Her research focuses on the barriers and opportunities for women´s equity and advancement. In addition to her active involvement on the executive team of J Street Colorado, Dr. Reichman is a a member of Denver’s Racial Equity Council and the Women Donor’s Network. Recent community involvement includes memberships in the Denver Women’s Commission (2015-2019) and the Colorado Judicial Performance Commission (2016, 2018). She chaired the Colorado Pay Equity Commission from 2010-2014.
