Nancy Reichman and Michael Young

 

Nancy Reichman is a professor in the Department of Sociology & Criminology at the University of Denver. She currently serves as a member of the J Street National Development Committee and the National Finance Committee. Her current research and advocacy focuses on gender equity in the context of changing structures of work. She has published work on equity in the legal profession, the regulation of performance in business and sport, global environment and white-collar crime. She is director of research at the Colorado Women’s College and is a mayoral appointee to the Denver Women’s Commission. Reichman received her PhD in Urban Studies and Planning from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, her MPA from New York University, and her BA from New College in Sarasota, Florida.

Michael Young, an attorney by training, has been active with J Street since 2015. He currently serves as co-chair of the J Street NYC Chapter and is also a member of the National Finance Committee. Michael is currently a board member of the Alliance for Middle East Peace (“ALLMEP”) and previously served for eight years on the board of the Israel Policy Forum. He is currently a member of other boards, including serving on the board of Legal Services NYC, which is the largest provider in the US of free civil legal assistance to low-income persons, and on the board of trustees of GlimmerGlass Opera Festival. Michael is a founder, shareholder and full-time neutral with JAMS, the largest private mediation and arbitration firm in the world. He and his wife (Debra L. Raskin) own an apartment in the German Colony in Jerusalem and otherwise live in the Brooklyn Heights section of New York City. They have two adult children and a daughter-in-law.
