Like all of you, J Street is closely monitoring the worldwide COVID-19 pandemic and its impact in Israel, the Palestinian Territory and here in the US.
We are taking a number of steps to protect the well-being of our staff and supporters.
Community Events: We are not going to hold in-person gatherings for the remainder of March and April. Instead, we will be relying on virtual events to drive our organizing and community engagement. In some cases, we will be postponing events until later this year.
All public virtual events will be listed on our events calendar.
Travel Programs: Even before Israel imposed restrictions and quarantines, we decided to postpone our March delegation to Israel and the West Bank. We’ve also postponed our May Congressional Delegation and Leadership Mission to Israel/Palestine, likely until 2021, given the busy election season this fall.
Staff Travel and Work Arrangements: On March 12, we instituted telework for the entire organization and have asked all staff to avoid work travel for the foreseeable future. If you have any meetings planned with our staff, they will be in touch with phone or video-conferencing options.
We’re also offering flexible work schedules and additional leave for parents dealing with day care and school closures.
Even as we adjust to meet these challenges, our work for a better future for Israelis and Palestinians continues, and we will be counting on your continued engagement (from a responsible social distance).
From all of us at J Street: Please be safe, take care, and do not hesitate to reach out.
