J Street is appalled and distressed by the terror attack today at a bus stop in the East Jerusalem neighborhood of Ramot, in which a car-ramming killed a six-year old boy and a twenty-year old man, and wounded at least five others. Our thoughts are with the families and loved ones of the victims as we hope for the speedy recovery of the injured.

Acts of terror are never acceptable, and only lead to more pain, suffering and loss. We remain extremely concerned by the terrible escalation in violence throughout the West Bank and Jerusalem in recent weeks. While working to prevent further attacks and keep civilians safe, urgent steps must be taken by all responsible leaders to reduce tensions and prevent further violence and suffering.

May the memories of those lost in this attack be for a blessing.
