Arthur was a dedicated philanthropist who committed much of his life time to the project of commemorating and preserving the history of European Jewry. He strongly believed in the pursuit of peace and justice for Israelis and Palestinians, and was among the founding supporters of J Street. Arthur served on the J Street Advisory Council and National Finance Committee. His humility, optimism, and dedication will be deeply missed by all who knew and worked with him. May his memory be for a blessing.
