J Street Responds to President Abbas’ Speech

It was deeply irresponsible of Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas to falsely claim that 13-year old Palestinian Ahmad Manasrah—who had stabbed Israeli civilians in Jerusalem—had been “executed,” when he was, in fact, alive and being treated in an Israeli hospital. 

We reiterate our call on President Abbas—as we have on leaders of both sides—to take all necessary steps to de-escalate tension and to curtail terror and other violence.
