Maintaining security along Israel’s southern border must remain a top priority for Egyptian security services, and we urge them to work intensively to find the perpetrators and to hold them responsible for their actions. The Sinai must not become a base for terror against Israeli civilians, and as Egypt continues its political transition, we urge its leaders to reaffirm their commitment to both the country’s treaty with Israel and to vigilantly maintaining security along the border.
