J Street Statement on EU Court’s Hamas Ruling

J Street Director of Government Affairs Dylan Williams made the following statement today following the General Court of the European Union's ruling concerning the designation of Hamas as a terrorist organization: 

It's very disappointing that a procedural ruling has resulted in the possibility of Hamas being taken off the European Union's list of terror organizations. It should be a pretty open-and-shut case under any valid process to determine that Hamas is a terrorist organization. We appreciate the EU clarifying that this ruling does not represent a substantive change in their policy toward Hamas, and urge them to immediately take all due steps to ensure that Hamas remains designated as a terrorist organization.
