Student Summit Participant Information

Location

J Street U’s 2025 Student Summit will take place in Washington DC — location and address information will be shared in logistics emails leading up to the Summit. The Summit will begin in the early evening of Thursday, August 7 2025 and end on Sunday, August 10 2025 following breakfast and closing programming.

Registration Cost

The cost of attending the J Street U Student Summit is $36. This will include all meals and housing while at the Student Summit.

Please Note: The $36 fee is to hold your spot but your attendance will need to be approved by the J Street U team. If your registration is not approved you will be notified by a member of the J Street U team and your payment will be refunded.

Student Housing

Accommodations will be provided by J Street U. Students will not need to book their own housing accommodations. While staying in the J Street U-provided housing is highly encouraged, if you will not need housing accommodations provided by J Street U please reach out to Joseph McGuire at [email protected] so you can be removed from the housing list.

Please Note: Students who elect to not use the housing provided by J Street U will not be reimbursed the cost of local transportation to/from the event.

Travel Information

After you have registered for the J Street U Student Summit and your registration has been approved, you will be contacted by Joseph McGuire, a member of our Events Team, who will provide you with your travel stipend information and instructions for booking your travel. Please do not book your travel before you have been contacted directly by Joseph McGuire.

Students who register before April 30 will have 100% of their travel covered. Students registering after May 1 receive highly subsidized travel.

Once you have received your travel stipend email from Joseph, you are responsible for booking your travel promptly, within 72 hours of receiving the email, to ensure that the quoted stipend covers the percentage of your travel costs indicated in the email. Failure to book promptly, may result in increased travel costs that J Street U will not cover.

J Street U uses a reimbursement model for issuing travel stipends. This means that you will be expected to purchase your own travel, and submit receipts for reimbursement after booking. Detailed instructions for reimbursement will be included in the email you receive from Joseph McGuire. Reimbursements will be distributed in multiple rounds leading up to and following the Summit.

A Travel Stipend applies to flights, trains, and gas over $50 to any student who requires a stipend. J Street U does not include checked luggage or transportation to and from airports or train stations when calculating your travel stipend, unless approved on a case by case basis. A stipend is based on the estimated cost of your travel at the time of your registration.

J Street U is committed to providing equitable opportunities for all students to come to our events. We are committed to making finances as little a burden as possible.
