Clergy play a critical role in our movement. They are powerful ambassadors and moral leaders who have significant influence with Members of Congress, Jewish communal leaders, American Jewry, the media and general public. Rabbis and cantors have the ability to reach large numbers Jews from the pulpit, in classrooms, and through the pages of Jewish and mainstream publications and blogs.

Clergy affiliate with the Cabinet by agreeing to a set of principles. Their names are listed as members of the Rabbinic and Cantorial Cabinet on our website. Cabinet members participate in a variety of advocacy activities and have the opportunity to share and be in community with each other including at the J Street National Conference.
The Cabinet is led by co-chairs who are advised by an executive council. Several communities including Boston, Seattle, Los Angeles, and San Francisco have local J Street Rabbinic Cabinets.

By signing on to the Rabbinic Cabinet and Cantorial Cabinet, members are committing to these principles.
