MK Dr. Mansour Abbas

Dr. Mansour Abbas born 22 April 1974 is an Israeli politician and the leader of the United Arab List (Ra’am), which he represents in the Knesset. In April 2021, he was appointed Chair of the Knesset Special Committee on Arab Society Affairs. In the same year, Dr. Abbas made history as the first Arab political leader in Israel to join a governing coalition, marking a significant milestone in Arab political participation in Israeli public life. Prior to his parliamentary career, Dr. Abbas was engaged in community reconciliation, mediation, and social reform initiatives within Arab society, with a focus on strengthening social cohesion and addressing internal community challenges. Dr. Abbas is a qualified dentist by profession.
