Maya Wiley
Maya Wiley is the President and CEO of The Leadership Conference on Civil & Human Rights and The Leadership Conference Education Fund — a coalition of more than 240 national organizations working to promote and protect the civil and human rights of all people in the United States. A nationally respected civil rights attorney and racial justice advocate, Wiley has been a leading voice on democracy, equity, and social justice. She has served in senior roles across government, philanthropy, higher education, and the nonprofit sector, including as the first Black woman to serve as Counsel to a New York City mayor. Wiley previously ran for Mayor of New York City in 2021 and has been a litigator at the ACLU and NAACP Legal Defense Fund. She is a former legal analyst for NBC News and MSNBC and the author of the memoir Remember You Are A Wiley.
