J Street Appalled By Tel Aviv Shooting, Mourns Victims

June 8, 2016

J Street is appalled and saddened by today’s shooting at the Sarona Market in central Tel Aviv, which is believed to be a terror attack.

According to early reports from the scene, at least three people were killed and five people were seriously wounded in the attack.

We condemn this outrageous act of violence. There can be never be justification for cold-blooded murder and terror against civilians going about their lives in the heart of their city.

We know that Israelis are resilient in the face of attacks, and that already they are coming together to support and console each other amidst this tragedy. We send our best wishes to the injured for a speedy recovery, and our thoughts are with all of the victims and their families.
