WASHINGTON, DC — J Street, the political home for pro-Israel, pro-peace Americans, announced today its endorsement of Rep. Earl Blumenauer for reelection to Congress in Oregon’s 3rd District. The group, which promotes progressive, diplomacy-first American leadership in the Middle East, has endorsed Blumenauer in every election since their founding in 2008.
“A decade ago, at a time when he was one of only a few voices in Congress who were willing to actively promote a two-state solution, criticize the occupation and defend the rights of both Israelis and Palestinians, Rep. Blumenauer was already exemplifying what true progressive leadership looks like,” said J Street’s President Jeremy Ben-Ami. “In the years since, he has demonstrated time and again his support for human rights, his determination to keep our nation out of destructive wars of choice, and his commitment to principled, effective American leadership in the Middle East.”
“The members of the pro-Israel, pro-peace movement always know that we have a true friend and ally in Rep.
