J Street Supports US Negotiators To Secure A Strong Deal

Secretary Kerry's comments prove once again that the United States is insisting on an agreement that meets its stringent criteria to verifiably block each of Iran's pathways to a nuclear weapon. We applaud our negotiators' fortitude in demanding a good deal, and their tireless work to achieve it. We also caution Iran's leaders that neither the American government nor its people–an overwhelming majority of whom, Jewish and non-Jewish, support this diplomacy–will move on this point.

Important as they may be, the gaps between the parties are fewer and narrower than at any point in these negotiations. We support our negotiators as they take the time they need to resolve these differences in a way that results in a strong agreement.
