J Street Welcomes New Hillel CEO Fingerhut

J Street congratulates former US Representative Eric Fingerhut on his appointment as the president and CEO of Hillel and extends best wishes to outgoing president Wayne Firestone.

We enjoyed a productive working relationship with Wayne Firestone. His tenure coincided with the launch of J Street U and its growth into a movement with more than 50 campus chapters, many of which work closely with campus Hillels across the country. Firestone’s strong advocacy for Israel and his commitment to vibrant Jewish life on campus led him to work to open Hillel’s doors to a broader and more diverse range of Jewish students.

J Street shares with Hillel and its leadership a dedication to strengthening Jewish students’ ties to Israel and to building a commitment on campus to ensuring Israel’s Jewish and democratic future.
