Our Impact

JStreetPAC distributed more funds in 2018 than every other pro-Israel PAC combined.

  • JStreetPAC distributed a record $4.9 million to its 163 supported candidates for Congress, making it the largest pro-Israel PAC for the sixth cycle running.
  • 98% of JStreetPAC-endorsed members of Congress won reelection and 30 challenger candidates defeated pro-Trump incumbents, ushering in a new pro-Israel, pro-peace majority in the House.
  • The 116th Congress will include at least 122 JStreetPAC endorsees in the House, comprising over half of the House Democratic Caucus, and 26 endorsees in the Senate, comprising over half of Senators who caucus with Democrats.
  • The PAC raised an average of $30,000 per candidate, $158,000 for competitive Senate candidates and $47,000 for competitive House candidates.
  • JStreetPAC was a top bundler in key House contests, raising over $50,000 per candidate for winning endorsees in California, Colorado, Florida, Iowa, Michigan, New Jersey, New York, Texas and Virginia.
  • As the largest pro-Israel PAC in the country, JStreetPAC was responsible for over 53 percent of pro-Israel PAC money raised for federal candidates this election cycle.

On the trail

To support the largest slate of endorsed House challengers in JStreetPAC’s history, ten members of J Street’s staff hit the campaign trail to help our endorsees cross the finish line in the final days of the 2018 election. Staff members embedded in 14 of the most highly contested House races of the cycle and pitched in by knocking doors, making calls and helping our candidates with whatever it takes to get out the vote. During their time on the trail, staff members built on already-strong relationships with our endorsed candidates and their staffs, and showed just how committed the pro-Israel, pro-peace movement is to electing new voices to Congress who will stand up to the dangerous agenda of the Trump Administration.
