With the 2026 midterm elections looming, you won’t want to miss one of the most important, talked-about annual events in the world of foreign policy and progressive politics. Join hundreds of local, Jewish communal and student activists from across the country, for this year’s largest gathering of the pro-Israel, pro-peace, pro-democracy movement. Rally around our community, as we continue our efforts to defend against the threats to our democratic institutions, and advance our advocacy efforts. Expand your advocacy network, and gain insight from leading activists, policy experts, and political leaders through our wide variety of programming and social offerings during our Convention; and meet with our representatives on Capitol Hill to advocate for policies that advance our shared values.
J Street’s 2026 National Convention took place at the Hyatt Regency Capitol Hill, located at 400 New Jersey Ave NW, Washington, DC 20001. The Convention beganon Saturday, February 28, 2026 and ended after lobbying appointments on Tuesday, March 3, 2026.
The J Street National Convention takes place approximately every 18 months and is the largest gathering of pro-Israel, pro-peace activists in the United States. It brings together J Street supporters from across the country to learn more about our issue area, hearing from leading experts and politicians, and to advocate for our priorities on Capitol Hill.
Saturday night kicked off the J Street Convention with an energizing opening program. The following two days featured a mix of plenary and breakout sessions, networking and social opportunities, and film and art showcases. The Convention featured many high-profile speakers from the worlds of foreign policy, politics, and peacebuilding and host dozens of partner organizations.
Monday night included Feast & Fest Gala Reception: J Street’s Purim Celebration (separately ticketed), for a night of joy, justice, community, and celebration! Attendees enjoyed a festive buffet complete with Hamantaschen for dessert followed by an optional Megillah reading, and an unforgettable J Street-style Purim shpiel—where policy meets parody—alongside our community and special guests, including J Street’s congressional champions.
On Tuesday, March 3, Convention participants headed to Capitol Hill to meet with their representatives to advocate for our priorities.
