Carla joins J Street as a Junior Accountant after earning her Master of Accounting from William & Mary's Raymond A. Mason School of Business. Originally from Santa Cruz, Bolivia, she came to the United States to pursue her graduate education in accounting.
Before joining J Street, Carla gained experience in accounting, auditing, and tax, including work at the Big Four and in the oil and gas industry. Her professional background has given her experience working with multinational organizations and across both IFRS and U.S. GAAP environments.
During her graduate studies, Carla developed a particular interest in nonprofit accounting and the role financial management plays in supporting mission-driven organizations. This interest led her to pursue opportunities in the nonprofit sector and ultimately to J Street.
Outside of work, Carla enjoys reading, running, and exploring new places.
