Steve has over 40 years of leadership of Pro-Israel Pro-Peace Pro-Democracy organizations. In Israel, he worked side by side with Israelis and Palestinians as a human rights lawyer at ACRI. In the US, he co-founded and led two national Pro-Israel, Pro-Peace organizations, including Brit Tzedek v’Shalom. While Brit Tzedek’s President, he integrated its 50,000 members and 1,000+ rabbis into J Street and joined J Street Education Fund’s founding board.
Steve is a past board chair of the Sustainable Business Network of Greater Philadelphia and has held leadership positions with his local JCRC and Jewish Labor Committee. A practicing attorney in Philadelphia, Steve served 12 years as a senior attorney for the Philadelphia City Council and then founded the social impact law firm JustLaws, where he concentrates his practice on political and local government law.
