Pro-Israel PAC announces record number of new incumbent Senators and Members of Congress have been endorsed this cycle

J Street — the pro-Israel, pro-peace, pro-democracy movement — announced today record numbers of Senate and House endorsees in the 2024 election cycle.

The organization, in its ninth federal election cycle, has been steadily increasing the share of Democrats in Congress that it endorses — now totaling over 60 percent of the Democratic Caucus. Unlike other pro-Israel Political Action Committees, JStreetPAC does not endorse candidates without their consent.

“Our balanced and nuanced message on a polarized and difficult set of issues clearly resonates with a wide swath of the Democratic Party today. We are now the mainstream voice in the party on Israel and the Middle East,” said J Street President Jeremy Ben-Ami. “J Street’s balanced approach, promoting peace, security and self-determination for both Israelis and Palestinians, has been heard in Washington, and the breadth of our reach proves it.”

Some of the latest figures speak much louder than words:

  • With 153 endorsees in Congress, J Street’s pro-Israel, pro-peace, pro-democracy “caucus” is larger than ever.
  • In addition to Kamala Harris and Tim Walz, our endorsees now constitute more than 60% of Democrats in the House and Senate
  • This was bolstered by an unprecedented number of representatives and senators actively seeking our endorsement for the first time. We’ve welcomed 19 new incumbent endorsees this cycle.
    • Our new endorsees include some of the most competitive races of this election cycle like Senator Jon Tester, Senator Bob Casey, Congresswoman Val Hoyle and Congresswoman Susan Wild’s reelection campaigns.
  • We’re also working overtime to win pro-democracy majorities in the House and Senate, endorsing 24 House and Senate challengers.
    • This includes proudly supporting J Street champion Colin Allred, who is working to defeat Ted Cruz in Texas.

“This marks a tectonic shift away from the outdated pro-Israel playbook that insisted on ‘no daylight’ between the US and Israeli government, an approach that has repeatedly failed everyone in the most heartbreaking and devastating way possible,” added Ben-Ami.

In its place, J Street is building a truly pro-Israel vision, one that champions a future of peace, safety and freedom – for Israelis and Palestinians alike.
