Arad Boxenbaum is a graduate of DePaul University and longtime advocate in the Chicagoland area primarily in the world of gun violence prevention, climate change, and reproductive rights and has served in state and local leadership for Illinois’ Sierra Club, Students Demand Action, Moms Demand Action, and as the Vice Chair of the IVI-IPO. Arad was elected to the Geneva Public Library Board in 2021 at the age of nineteen and is now serving as the board’s Vice President and also ran for State Representative in Illinois’ 83rd House District in the 2022 and 2024 Democratic Primary. As a young Israeli-American, Arad has always understood the importance of responsible advocacy when it comes to Israel and Palestine and is very excited for the opportunity to combine personal passion and previous experience in order to help JStreet grow and achieve its goals.
