Senior Associate, Jewish Communal Engagement, Mid-Atlantic

Originally from Southfield, Michigan, Nathaniel (Nati) Faber brings a multifaceted background in Jewish education, communal leadership, and service. After completing his service in the IDF as a Social Welfare NCO for the Haredi Brigades—supporting soldiers and strengthening unit wellbeing—Nati continued his professional and academic journey in Israel. He studied education with a focus on Jewish Studies and ESL instruction at Jacob Herzog Teacher’s College and later received Rabbinic Ordination from World Mizrachi. From there Nati went on to be a teacher and Jewish educator for 5 years, teaching Biblical Studies, Talmudic Studies, and English, as well as being Program Director in various Jewish camp settings.

Nati’s years living and learning in Israel have given him a grounded, real-world perspective on the complexities of the region. His commitment to advancing peace in the Middle East is rooted in lived experience and reflects a broader passion for helping others and strengthening communities around the world.

Now, as Senior Associate for Jewish Communal Engagement in the Mid-Atlantic, Nati is dedicated to building meaningful relationships with Jewish communities, leaders, and institutions across the region, while contributing to J Street’s national mission. The opportunity to support efforts toward diplomacy, security, and a peaceful future aligns deeply with his values, combining his personal dedication to service with a commitment to creating positive social change.
