J Street Condemns Horrific Terrorist Attacks in Brussels

March 22, 2016

J Street condemns today’s horrific terrorist attacks in Brussels, which have cost the lives of at least 34 innocent people and injured over 170 more. Our thoughts are with the injured and their families. We stand in solidarity with the people of Belgium, now engaged in national mourning.

This type of outrageous violence is alarmingly becoming all too commonplace. While the identities of the perpetrators are still unconfirmed, the terror group ISIS has claimed responsibility — and the attack bears all the hallmarks of the vicious acts of terror by extremists that have claimed so many innocent lives around the world. We hope that law enforcement authorities will bring those responsible swiftly to justice — and will take all responsible steps to combat terror and keep people safe.
