J Street Saddened by Egypt Bloodshed

We are deeply saddened by reports of new violence and bloodshed in Egypt.

One of the two Arab-majority states with fully normalized, peaceful relations with Israel, Egypt is a lynchpin of regional security. It is also home to many of our dear friends.

We pray for a quick end to the violence, and for Egyptians to find a viable political path out of the current strife. We urge the United States Government to work urgently with our international partners toward that end.
