J Street Strongly Condemns Houthi Missile Attack on Ben Gurion Airport

May 4, 2025

Washington, DC – In response to today’s Houthi missile strike that landed in the area of Ben Gurion Airport, injuring at least six people and threatening the safety of Israeli civilians, J Street President Jeremy Ben-Ami released the following statement:

“J Street strongly condemns the Houthi missile attack that struck Ben Gurion Airport today, injuring at least six civilians. This was a reckless and deeply alarming attack on Israel’s main civilian airport — an unacceptable act of terror by Iran-backed extremists that put countless lives at risk. Our thoughts are with the injured and with all Israelis living under the constant threat of missile fire.

This strike underscores the grave danger posed by Iran and Iranian-aligned forces and highlights the urgent need for American engagement and diplomacy to de-escalate tensions and deter extremist actors.

No country should have to live under the constant threat of rocket or missile fire targeting its population centers.”
