J Street to Hold Second National Conference in Washington

American, Israeli, Arab Leaders to Address Largest Ever Gathering of Pro-Israel, Pro-Peace Movement

WASHINGTON — J Street, the pro-Israel, pro-peace advocacy organization founded two and a half years ago, will hold its second national conference, “Giving Voice to Our Values,” this February 26th through March 1st at the Washington Convention Center. The conference will bring together activists, community leaders, students, politicians, and experts from the United States, Israel, the Middle East, and Europe, marking an extraordinary show of support for bold, urgent American leadership in pursuit of a two-state solution.

Conference sessions will include keynote speeches, panels and forums covering a wide array of issues, including the state of the peace process, the US-Israel relationship and the Jewish community, Israeli democracy, and the future of the region. Confirmed speakers include members of Congress, members of Knesset Daniel Ben-Simon, Shlomo Molla , Amir Peretz, Nachman Shai, and Orit Zoaretz journalist and author Peter Beinart, New York Times columnist Roger Cohen, leaders of the Sheikh Jarrah Solidarity Movement, Director of Brookings’ Saban Center Kenneth Pollack, and peace activist Dr. Izzeldin Abuelaish, among many others.

On the final day of the conference, March 1, J Street delegates will visit Capitol Hill to meet with members of the House and Senate and advocate for assertive American leadership to end the conflict.
