The Capital/South region includes some of J Street’s most ardent champions. Spanning a wide geographic area, the region includes the mid-Atlantic states and Washington, DC, as well as Southern states like Florida, Georgia and North Carolina.

J Street is proud to support a strong slate of candidates in the Capital region, including some of our most reliable advocates on Capitol Hill – such as Reps. Don Beyer (VA-8), Gerry Connolly (VA-11) and Senator Tim Kaine (VA), who will face a Republican challenger in his 2018 reelection bid.

In the South, J Street is honored to support a growing slate of candidates, including former Congressional Black Caucus chairman Rep. G.K. Butterfield (NC-1), Rep. John Lewis (GA-5), assistant Democratic Leader Rep. Jim Clyburn (SC-6) and Reps. Steve Cohen (TN-9) and John Yarmuth (KY-3).

Kicking off the current cycle, J Street was proud to support Jon Ossoff in a close special election bid for a traditionally Republican seat in Georgia. Looking ahead to 2018, we will focus our efforts on the campaign to fill the seat being vacated by Rep. Ileana Ros-Lehtinen.
