Senator Chris Murphy (D-CT)
Senator Chris Murphy is the junior United States Senator for the state of Connecticut. After serving for three terms in the U.S. House of Representatives, Murphy was elected to the Senate in 2012 and has been a vocal advocate for affordable health care, sensible gun laws, and a forward-looking foreign policy. Murphy sits on the Senate Health, Education, Labor and Pensions (HELP) Committee, the Senate Foreign Relations Committee, and the Appropriations Committee, where he serves as the ranking member for the Subcommittee on Homeland Security. Since President Donald Trump resumed office in January, Murphy has been a leading voice in the U.S. Senate calling out the brazen corruption and illegality of the Trump White House.
