J Street is horrified by yesterday’s terror attack near the Western Wall in Jerusalem, in which a Palestinian gunman reportedly affiliated with Hamas opened fire on civilians, killing one and wounding four others.
Our thoughts are with the family and loved ones of 26-year-old Eliyahu David Kay, z’’l, as they mourn this senseless and hateful act. Our thoughts are also with those wounded, as we hope that they make a full and speedy recovery.
The fact that this attack took place near one of the city’s most holy places only makes it more appalling. There can be no excuse or justification for this kind of senseless, hateful violence.
