WASHINGTON, DC — JStreetPAC, the political fundraising arm of the pro-Israel, pro-peace group J Street, announced today its endorsement of Congressman Adam Schiff, Chairman of the House Intelligence Committee. The formal endorsement affirms the strong relationship between J Street and the influential congressional leader.

“Throughout his distinguished career as a Member of Congress and as Chairman of the House Intelligence Committee, Adam Schiff has proven himself to be a true champion for democratic values both at home and abroad,” said J Street President Jeremy Ben-Ami. “Rep. Schiff has worked tirelessly to promote American diplomacy and Israeli-Palestinian peace, and to help safeguard democracy around the world.”

“Thank you to J Street for their support in my re-election campaign for California’s new 30th Congressional District,” said Chairman Schiff. “Promoting peace, security, and stability in the Middle East is one of the most important and difficult tasks before our Congress. As Americans, we all have a vested interest in ensuring that Israelis and Palestinians can live in peace, and a two-state solution is vital to that important end. I look forward to continuing to champion this cause in Congress.”

First elected to Congress in 2001, Chairman Schiff has been a prominent Jewish-American voice in the Democratic caucus and a leader on national security issues. He has been a staunch supporter of a peaceful two-state solution to the Israeli-Palestinian conflict, and a vocal advocate for the JCPOA nuclear agreement, which successfully blocked Iran’s pathways to a nuclear weapon before Donald Trump recklessly withdrew US compliance in 2018.

JStreetPAC is one of the largest and most influential pro-Israel PACs in the country. The group endorses over half of the Democratic caucus in both the House and Senate, and in 2020 endorsed the Biden-Harris campaign for president.
