The district: NJ-03: New Jersey’s 3rd Congressional District (NJ-03) covers the central portion of the state and includes Burlington and Ocean Counties. Rep. Tom MacArthur has held the seat since 2015.
Our candidate: An experienced national security expert and practitioner, Andy Kim served as the Iraq Director on the National Security Council under President Obama. He worked on the ground in Kabul as a strategic advisor to Generals Patraeus and Allen, and he has served in various roles at the Pentagon, State Department, USAID, and the Senate Foreign Relations Committee. Kim’s strong fundraising and quality as a candidate have put this race on the national radar.

The district: New Jersey’s 7th Congressional District (NJ-07) includes six counties in northern New Jersey and has been represented by Rep. Leonard Lance since he was first elected in 2008.
Our candidate: Tom Malinowski is a former diplomat, having served most recently as Assistant Secretary of State for Democracy, Human Rights and Labor under President Obama. He also served on President Clinton’s National Security Council and as the Washington Director for Human Rights Watch.
