J Street joins with Israel and Jews all over the world in honoring the memory of Israel’s fallen soldiers today on Yom HaZikaron, the day of remembrance. We look forward to the day when Israelis live in true peace and security, free from violence; it is this very hope that drives our work.
Tonight, as Israel turns from commemoration to the celebration of the 64th anniversary of its independence, we will join in honoring the country’s founders and their remarkable vision, and all that the Israeli people have done to realize it.
As we mark these days, we remain committed to the work still to be done in achieving peace and in ensuring Israel’s future as a secure, democratic homeland for the Jewish people.
