Wrestling Jerusalem is a one-man play turned into an award-winning movie that follows a man’s journey to understand the Israeli-Palestinian conflict and grapple with the complexities of identity, history and social justice. Aaron Davidman embodies and gives voice to 17 different characters on all sides of the existential divide, deftly moving between Jewish and Muslim, Israeli and Arab while modeling what it takes truly to bear witness through the eyes of the other.
The screening will be followed by a conversation with J Street U student leaders on their experiences as pro-Israel, pro-peace activists on college campuses. They will also be joined by the film’s creator, writer and actor, Aaron Davidman.
