Nancy Reichman is Professor Emerita in the Department of Sociology and Criminology at the University of Denver. Her research focuses on the barriers and opportunities for women´s equity and advancement, particularly in the legal profession; workplace policy and practice for low-wage workers; the regulation of performance in business and sport; and global environmental regulations. Reichman was senior editor of the socio-legal studies journal, Law & Policy, from 2006-2018. She served as Research Director for the Colorado Women’s College from 2018-2020.
In addition to her active involvement on the executive team of J Street Colorado, Dr. Reichman is a a member of Denver’s Racial Equity Council and the Women Donor’s Network. Recent community involvement includes memberships in the Denver Women’s Commission (2015-2019) and the Colorado Judicial Performance Commission (2016, 2018). She chaired the Colorado Pay Equity Commission from 2010-2014.
Reichman received her PhD in Urban Studies and Planning from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, her MPA from New York University, and her BA from New College in Sarasota, Florida.
