Ilissa Gold

Ilissa rejoined J Street in 2014 after previously interning for J Street in the summer of 2010. That year, she also assisted in launching J Street Nashville in her hometown. Since moving to Los Angeles in 2011, Ilissa has been involved in a wide variety of progressive and Jewish causes. She was elected to the Los Angeles County Democratic Central Committee in 2016, where she represents California Assembly District 50. She is the president and founder of the Miracle Mile Democratic Club, one of the most active Democratic clubs in Los Angeles. She is also a stakeholder member of the Mid-City West Community Council Planning and Land Use Committee. Finally, she was a Jeremiah Fellow with Bend the Arc Southern California in 2014, and a New Leaders Council Los Angeles Fellow in 2015. Ilissa received her B.A. in Government from Cornell University and her J.D. from Washington University in St. Louis.
